One thing
Thank you to this week's sponsor
Most founders don't ship their product ideas, ever. They get stuck. But my friend Luca is here to help you bring your ideas to light.
Shipped.club is the best SaaS boilerplate for busy makers, with all you need to ship in days. Avoid the boring stuff, and start selling.
I found interesting and you might too:
It’s February. Instead of 6 months left before failing, I have 5 left.
There’s a time when learnings go full circle: Jannis found his business groove.
I love Jakob's essays because they make me think.
200+ (free) slides about JavaScript, CSS, React, Git, and more.
Narrowing focus down.
Do you remember when I told you about the Build in Public Sprint from Kevon?
The 30-day challenge seemed an excellent opportunity to restart my X/Twitter journey and reconnect with a bunch of people—I wanted to.
Yet, something felt off.
And after sleeping on it, I had to let it go for this season.
I'm already dribbling between distractions, emails, messages, work, and home demands.
Time in a day is limited. There's trade-offs to make. And if I'm honest with myself and sort priorities out, social media dopamine still needs to go on that list.
Soon, it'll be. But not now.
Looking at the past, I always tried to achieve many things at once. Creating content, getting discovered, building relationships, and starting a business, to name a few.
Sometimes, right in this order.
Obviously, it didn't work, and I ended up burned out.
You can't have your cake and eat it too, right?
The answer sat in front of me.
One thing.
One thing at a time to focus toward something positive.
That's why I'm all in on my project now.
Remixing Nathan Barry's words, I'm committing to my goal with everything I have—for a season.
Narrowing down to one is the reminder to get the most out of what's available.
I want to help makers and creators craft engaging tweets and free their time for other tasks. And I never liked the fill-in-the-blank templates.
So, building a project this big requires my full attention to bringing the best tool to market.
Its codename is Invictus.
But more on that another day.
Next week, I'll share with you the questions you should ask when working on the foundation of a new product.
It's the same process I use while building mine.
Until then, have a delicious pizza!
Mattia
PS: before I go. You might wonder why this codename, Invictus. Long story short, it keeps coming back to me a lot lately. Invictus means unconquerable or undefeated, and the poem proclaims strength in the face of adversity. Here's the most inspiring and famous quote.
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
— William Ernest Henley
