The Best of this Quarter - by Mattia Righetti

Hello, Substack reader đź‘‹

The last time I updated this platform was right after switching to ConvertKit in January. So, if you landed here recently and didn't find any new articles, it's because I send them only to The Maker Journey subscribers.

But many things happened in this quarter, so here's the best of what you've missed.

Personal updates

Back in January, I wrote about having six months left before running out of cash. Well, now I have three months left. And these are my goals for 2024.

On March 1st, I restarted my Twitter journey following this plan (and already showed up for 30 days straight).

Meanwhile, I started working on a new tool.

But as a slow shipper, I'm scared competitors will steal the idea and knock me out in the blink of an eye. So, I'd rather stay in the shadows.

Speaking of which, people get the Build in Public thing wrong. It doesn't mean oversharing. And here's how I'm moving like a ninja, talking about it but not showing the steps: my personal guide to building in public.

Newsletter updates

At the end of January, I decided to run an experiment. There's always so much I want to share on The Maker Journey newsletter, but the issues bloated quickly and were more challenging to read. So, instead of sending a fortnightly email, I opted for one issue, one idea, weekly—less content but sharper. Usually, one email is about updates, and the other is a single essay.

Articles & Insights

  • Too often, when a new year starts, we wonder what to work on.

Here, you find 5+1 product ideas to lay down the foundations of your 2024 and get a headstart in your journey.

And since there's a lesson in every starter story, this is how I made my first $100 online.

So, this is it!
